About the LEAD Center:

The LEAD Center is a policy development center focused on the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) that improves employment and economic advancement outcomes for people with disabilities by supporting effective WIOA implementation. LEAD is led by National Disability Institute (NDI) and is fully funded by the Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), U.S. Department of Labor, Grant No. OD-38977-22-75-4-11.


Purpose of Dissemination:


To ensure material, tools, and resources from the LEAD Center reach and support diverse communities based on race/ethnicity, geography, gender, sexual orientation, disability, veteran-status, and those who have multiple intersecting identities.

Specific protective factors exist that can help youth and young adults with intersecting identities overcome employment obstacles…for example, LGBTQI+ youth with disabilities may have access to an association of mentors.” Explore the new @CAPEYouth brief, “Addressing the Needs of Youth with Disabilities and Other Intersecting Identities: State Strategies for Program Design.” This resource is in English only.


The @LEADCtr Guided Group Discovery – Veterans Edition Facilitator Guide is designed to train people to facilitate Guided Group Discovery with Veterans with disabilities and/or others who experience barriers to employment. Use the guide to lay the foundation for competitive integrated employment for the people you serve! This resource is in English only.
